London singer-songwriter and producer James Bakian is no ordinary 16 year old - he writes, records, mixes and masters all his own music and this all started with the release of his first song “You’re Gone” in 2016 when he was just 12. Since then he hasn’t stopped making music. He now has over 30 original songs on Spotify and many more, including covers of songs by his favourite artists on YouTube.
His passion for music spans several genres from pop to lofi to R&B and he’s always got new material he’s working on and genres he’s experimenting with. The late XXXTentacion, who James believes achieved so much in such a short time, has been a strong influence as have Charlie Puth, Maroon 5, Bazzi and Justin Bieber to mention just a few. His tracks have been played on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing show and he’s been a Featured Artist on Gary Crowley’s BBC Introducing Radio London show.
James writtes songs on emotive issues like depression, anxiety and suicide as well as the more usual topics of love and heartbreak.
With his talent and commitment to writing and producing good music and his passionate, melodic voice, you’re going to want to keep coming back for more!
